Computer Graphics

Prerequisites: Mathematics I, 7.5 credits, Mathematics II, 7.5 credits and Object Oriented Programming, 7.5 credits.

Content: The purpose of this course is to give an overview of different forms of computer graphics and to learn the programming tools and methods used for three dimensional visualisation in, e.g., simulators and the entertainment industry. Interactive lectures cover the theory behind both rasterised and ray-based forms of computer graphics. The labs, which are a central part of the course, focus on programming of 3D graphics and aim both at giving practical knowledge for implementing graphics programs, as well as a deeper understanding that comes from experimenting with graphics programming.

Teaching Methods: Lectures, labs, and compulsory hand-in assignments. In case there are few registered students to the course, the above teaching methods may partially or fully be replaced by tutoring and self study.

Assessment:  Written examination and laboratory reports.
