Analytical Science and Forensics

Prerequisites: University studies in Chemistry equivalent to 30 Credits.

Content: The course deals with sampling methodology, analytical determination, data processing, and quality assurance in analytical science, as well as presenting scientific results in writing and orally. The course contains case studies, that involves the complete chain from the problem to the presentation of the results. Different problems are solved in the case studies by analyzing materials, biological and environmental samples using different analytical methods that can be applied to forensic work.

Teaching Methods: Teaching consists of lectures, seminars, field trips and laboratory work.

Assessment:  Written examination, written laboratory reports, and written and oral presentation of project assignment.
