Prerequisites: Bachelor''s degree, with a major in Biomedical Laboratory Science or Medicine. Alternatively Degree of Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, degree of Master of Science in Medicine, Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Degree of Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiology Nursing, Degree of Master of Science in Dental Surgery or Degree of Master in Science in Veterinary Medicine. Additional requirements: English B/English 6. |

Content: The course will provide theoretical knowledge and basic practical skill in ultrasound diagnostics of vessel properties and functions. Within one elective area, the student will have acquired additional specialized knowledge in the field of vessel examinations with ultrasound after completing the course. The individual work will be presented both orally and in a written report. |

Assessment: Course activities will be held on Campus during three intensive periods of 2-4 days each. Between the Campus activities, course activities will be conducted over the internet (Blackboard) which requires access to computer with headset, microphone and Internet. Compulsory attendance at practical sessions, seminars and some lectures as stated in the in the course time table. In case of absence from compulsory activities in the course, the course coordinator will decide the way in which this should be compensated. Teaching is in English. Individually written exam, practical examination, individually written report and seminar. |
