Prerequisites: 180 högskolepoäng på grundnivå varav 90 högskolepoäng med successiv fördjupning i rättsvetenskap, där ett självständigt arbete (G2E) om 15 högskolepoäng ingår eller 180 högskolepoäng på grundnivå på Juristprogrammet. Dessutom krävs Engelska B/Engelska 6. |
| Content: The course introduces you to the nature and origins of international criminal justice, the basics of international criminal law and the International Criminal Court (ICC). We critically assess modes of investigation, reflect on atrocities, international crimes and discuss the value of alternative responses in transitional justice, like truth commissions, amnesties, restorative justice. The course is conducted in English. |

Teaching Methods: The course is given in English. Web-based course. The teaching is based on case-oriented tasks aimed at stimulating students' own knowledge seeking, critical reflection, analytical ability and skills development. The course is conducted with some comprehensive lectures, some scheduled and several unscheduled group work online as well as oral online seminars. The course requires a high degree of self-study. |
