Literary Analysis and Composition

Prerequisites: Standard university admission requirements.

Content: In this course students learn the elements of narrative and practice literary analysis. The students also learn basic composition (style, structure, argumentation and the use of literary sources) and write an essay involving close reading of one to the literary works from the course literature.

Teaching Methods: Teaching may be conducted in the form of lectures (mainly podcasts), seminars, workshops, and assignments to be completed on Blackboard, both in groups and individually.

Assessment: The course can be assessed through written examination, take-home examination, compulsory course components, paper, essay, and/or oral examination.
