Documentary Film Production

Prerequisites: Media and Communication Studies, 30 Credits and/or Media and Communication Studies, Film Studies, 30 Credits.

Content: In this module, different modes of documentary film production will be explored through lectures, discussions and reading exercises as well as through hands-on practices in video recording and editing. References to important representations and moments in the history of documentary film offer support in the enquiry. Furthermore, students will be guided in the ethics involved in documentary film production.

Teaching Methods: Teaching may be conducted in the forms of lectures, film screenings, seminars, workshops, individual tutoring and tutoring in group, indivudual problem-based learning and problem-based learning in group.

Assessment: The course is assessed through a paper and a video production.
